Today was my baby shower. We had a coed shower and over 75 people came. My sisters made a ton of food we had a ton of beer soda the works!! Over 75 people and only 8 people brought gifts. I know gifts are optional and no one has to bring a gift but come on really! My mother in law didn't even show up with a gift!! Not even a little outfit or anything! I was in tears. Everyone told us don't worry you'll get everything you need at your shower...NOPE! I started freaking out when everyone left and went online to figure out how much stuff is gonna cost that we still need and it's all well over two thousand dollars!! I just can't believe we got nothing. My husband was even disappointed and a little hurt. I just needed to vent. I was all excited to bring the gifts in her room and go through everything and start putting stuff away, now I have to go out and buy everything!! And I don't think I'd be so sad if we didn't have our school tax bill due next month which is a whopping 5600$!! 😔 loved my shower so much fun and so very grateful to my sisters but just sad. Oh and my sisters who threw us the shower were part of those 8 gifts they each got us something even though I repeatedly told them not too!!
