My best combination for me is 2 ibuprofen, 1 exedrin, and icy hot on my lower abdomen and lower back. I have really intense and painful cramps so I've got my routine down pat. lol

So I have really really bad cramps and sometimes I lose feeling in my legs and can't walk and when I describe my pain to my doctor she tells its what "back labor" feels like (I have never been pregnant so it was new to me) she proscribed me Ibuprofen 50 milligrams told me a hot bath with like a menthol bath salt and a heating pad along with watching my water and salt and sugar intake then to do tons of stretches... And she said if my cramps still aren't gone .. Sex..

I had severe cramps. My legs would go numb from pain in my back caused from the cramps. I went to the doctor and he gave me naproxen. Naproxen took the edge off, but the bad days were still crippling, not to mention the psychosocial impairment. I was worried I would damage my liver if I relied solely on pain meds, so I got put on birth control. It has helped the most. I recommend it more than anything. Sometimes I don't even need pain medication.
