Implantation bleeding?

How do you know the difference between starting your period and implantation bleeding? Is it just spotting or more than that?

IB is a pink spotting or brown and will only last 2-3 days plus will stay spotting. AF will get heavier.

I had one evening of implantation bleeding with my son. Only saw some pink when I wiped. Of course I freaked out but I called the nurse at my Dr. Office and she said to just reat and put my feet up and drink plenty of water.

I spotting brown one day and pink the other day and my af was a day early  but they say brown or pink and u can only see it when u wipe
