I have the implant and I love it. Doesn't make me gain weight like the pills or the shot. So worth it!

I got it a few months ago and have enjoyed not having to worry about taking the pill. My cycle hasn't quite normalized yet, but it is almost there.  It hasn't been heavy or abnormal other then the spacing between them. If you do decide to get it expect a bruise on your arm. (Mine was pretty bad but I bruise really easily.) Also, shower right before you get it. You aren't supposed to get your arm wet for like three days or something. I hadn't washed my hair in a few days when I got it and wound up having to go to a salon and get it washed.

I had the implant for the full 3 years. It worked great for me. I didn't get a period the whole time. No pregnancy either. I removed it last year October.

Well that's the thing. The pills made me sick and I couldn't remember to always take them. I'm getting married and need something lol

I had the implant for a year. It made my period happen for 3 weeks on and one week off. Completely backwards cycle. The doctor said it should work itself out after a year but I couldn't handle going through it anymore. I was always sicker than a dog and I spent too much money on tampons. Now that I'm TTC, it's easier to not be on BC, so I don't recommend the implant. Besides it's convenience, it's not my favorite form of BC. Try the pill and stick with taking it on time every day.
