Cervical position

So this is my first post! But, I have many questions about cervical position. I have done all the research I'm the world ha ha but I was wondering if I could get some advice from real people. I have been checking and logging my cervix for a little over a month now. I noticed a change in position but only a slight variance of softness. Can y'all give me any advice on how to tell if I'm ovulating? So a little background on me, I'm 24, married, and trying to convince my second child. I had my period 12 days ago(after trying to conceive for a month). The first time I found out I was pregnant was a complete surprise so this "trying" stuff is all new to me.
