Coming early?

A week ago I was 1cm dialated, 80% effaced.  I'm due October 8th, do you guys think this means he'll come before my due date?

You can stay dilated and effaced for a month before you go into labor. Dilation and effacement are not good indicators of when you could go into labor. Could be 2hrs or 3 weeks from now. Just relax and enjoy the ride :D

I'm due October 2nd and at my last Drs apt I was 4cm and 60% effaced but he's still hanging out in there. Not saying I want to have a premie baby but I would have sworn he would be here by now 😕 frustrating especially considering I keep having contractions that are regular and strong but then just disappear.
