Skipped periods

I have skipped my periods since early may. I have taken 5 pregnancy tests over the summer (even though it's not even possible). Every person I ask about it tells me to take birth control to get it back, but I refuse to take it for the reason that it may do me more harm than good. And I am not willing to let medication control my hormones. What can I do to induce my period?
