Wondering what it means when you "drop"???

Does it mean baby's head down??? 
Plz anybody...this is me at 33 weeks 34 weeks tomorrow.

Dropping means the baby is moving into the pelvis. (It is related to the station of your cervix. Basically if baby and cervix are still high, your probably not ready for labor. Hard to tell if you've dropped without before and after pictures.

I didn't drop with my first until I was in labor. But over the last three days it is noticible. On Sunday my boobs had a tummy shelf, now they don't even touch my belly.

Not only the head down, but also engaged in the pelvis. Doctors have 1-5 scale of how much a baby has dropped. FTM drop usually between 36-38weeks. With subsequent pregnancies it could happen later. It does not necessarily mean the baby is coming very soon ( specially for FTM) but it could make labor progress faster than when the head is far upper. However many women do not drop till labor actually starts. GL

I "dropped" baby is down low but shockingly cervix is high and closed up still at 37w.

Here is comparison even though I've been told I've carried low the whole pregnancy.
