Charlie was born via emergency c section at 36 weeks. She weighed only 3lbs 11oz and had to be on the CPAP machine for 2 days them under the lights for jaundice for 2 days. She is now 3 weeks old, still in the nicu working on maintaining her own temperature and eating a certain volume every shift. She is up to 4lbs 9oz and ripped out her feeding tube this morning. If she gains weight tonight she won't have to have it put back in. The doctors said this morning if she gains weight for the next 48 hours she will more than likely be able to go home. They limit her feeding time to around 30 minutes so she doesn't burn too many calories so I don't get to hold her a whole lot. I can't wait until I get to take my precious baby girl home.
