Guys think about having a courthouse wedding? I want to have a huge party after celebrating, but don't think the actual ceremony isn't a big deal. And what do you guys think a proper meal/drink/decorations buget is?

Do like a potluck bbq type u provide like the main dish meats everyone else brings like a potato salad chips beans stuff like that also provide say like the drinks lol

That's kind of what me and my SO are doing in a cpl weeks. Except we have a pastor instead of a judge. (More for him than me)  Best way on a budget. Congratulations and good luck 😊

Thats what I wanted but my husband said no I deserved a white dress church wedding so he planned it lol I showed up. It wasnt for cost I just wasnt all about the attention amd standing in front of every one nor did I want to plan a wedding. I just wanted my husband.

I am jealous of your courthouse wedding and big party after! I totally wanted that but my husband wanted the whole shebang, couldn't convince him otherwise. We had an awesome wedding, our parents helped us a bit,  everyone had a blast  and it was an awesome day, but $10000 in debt later he has totally is like "you know what would have been more cost effective... a courthouse wedding and big party " and I am like "remember when I suggested that and you scoffed? Just remember that your wife is always right". Lol and he does now. He does.

That's what me and my hubby did. It was just me, him, and his mom and we all went out afterwards. Everyone is still finding out but I'm very happy with it.
