Have you had your shower yet?

I'm still in early pregnancy and when we discuss getting some things early my MIL and other family says "wait, you'll get stuff at your shower". But if our wedding shower was indicative of how the baby shower will be we won't get half of what we put on the registry. People just got whatever they wanted. For the baby it's slightly more important to get everything we need. For those of you that already had your shower, did you get what you expected? Was it a similar response to that of your wedding shower?
