Does it bother you when..

When your out in public, anywhere, and when your walk past someone you make eye contact and smile and say hello, only to be returned with the other person not saying anything and looking right past you as if you're not even there?

Not at all, but I'm also used to my resting bitch face+spacing out when walking somewhere so I've been the person who accidentally doesn't acknowledge someone and then they get upset about it and think I'm mad at them😂😅
In all honesty, they very well could be spacing out.

I'm a total introvert. I avoid eye contact and have a constant "resting bitch face." I wear earbuds when I go to the gym or grocery store so nobody talks to me. I don't wave at people for favors when I'm driving, because I think being courteous when driving is a reasonable expectation. I absolutely despise small talk, I already know how the weather is, thank you very much. I don't say hi back or acknowledge someone's presence because I don't know them! It's not personal, I'm not mad at you, it's just who I am. I am not obligated to adhere to your social code of what is "normal."

I worry that I do this a lot. I don't mean to, but I'm pretty quiet and introverted. In my head I think I'm smiling and saying hello, but I realize that I'm probably not speaking loud enough for anyone else to hear and probably not smiling like I think I am.

You never know where somebody comes from. I saw a Russian show which says if people you don't know smile or talk to you in the street they are considered strange.

Sometimes only because it takes a lot for me to do that. But I can't be too upset though -
I'm an introvert so I have had my years of being that person. However, the past few years I've been doing SO much better and I make myself speak to people and smile and compliment, because I came to the conclusion that I never know whose day I can make just by doing so. It feels great to me to do that, albeit nerve wracking @ times. 
I still have my moments when I don't respond to someone who has walked past and spoken to me, but that's because I was zoned out and literally didn't see /hear them. I've even done it to people I know :( they later approached me and asked why I ignored them and if they did something to me and I was like I'm so sorry I truly did not even see or hear you. I am often in my own zone.

What can I say? Baby steps lol honestly I don't think I'll ever respond EVERY time because I seriously do a lot of minding my own business and staying in my own zone even go public.I just really want to make someone else happy or smile so that's mainly why I try to step out of that

Honestly am weirded out if a complete strangers says hello to me. I'm not rude, if you strike up a conversation I'll talk to you..  But who just walks by people and says hello?

It bothers me when I'm out with one of my clients and they say hi to someone, and that someone goes out of their way to avoid eye contact and/or acknowledge them. It also bothers me when someone will ask them questions, or try to talk to them, through me while their standing right there.
