How to tell them?

I'm 18, my boyfriend is 19 and I might possibly be pregnant. If I am how do I tell my parents and how do I tell his parents?? I'm so very scared if I take the test and it's positive that I will have to find a way to tell each of our parents.. Any advice?

I just had to do the exact same thing back in April. My boyfriend and I got pregnant accidentally. We were both 18 at the time (he's 19 now). It was not easy and our families were not happy in the slightest. But.. It honestly felt so much better not hiding it. I knew I'd face a lot of judgement in the days to come, but I'm so glad I told them when I did because I needed prenatal care and they got me into an OB/GYN.

Despite what everyone originally thought, we ended up getting married in July and both sides of our family are beyond excited for our little girl to be born! (She is due Christmas Day) I can promise you that it will suck to tell them, but the sooner you do, the better. Personally, we told my parents the day before we told his mom. My mother cried and his mom threatened to disown him if he married me. After a month of calming down, both started to come around to what was changing in our lives. Now they constantly remind us how much they love me, my husband, and our baby.

I believe you are strong enough to handle it. If you have any friends you can talk to, that will help relieve the initial fear of first telling someone. I wish you the best of luck with everything! Be brave, girl. 💜
