What was it like the first few days?

I found out last Thursday I would be miscarrying. Tuesday night I started having really bad cramping and had a feeling I would start bleeding soon. Wednesday morning I started out with a little spotting and then midday the full on bleeding came with what would be comparable to my period. Flash forward to the evening and into the early morning I had terrible cramping, really heavy flow and passed a ton of tissue. I soaked through 3 pads in the span of 4 hours. I've never experienced anything like that. Today I have just had a very heavy flow, not much tissue at all, and minimal cramping.

Just wondering what your experiences have been in the first few days of miscarrying.

I was 7 weeks when the baby was gone, I would have been 9 weeks this past Tuesday.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have a simmilar story,  I had a miscarriage last Saturday which makes today day 6. Thursday and Friday I had mild brown discharge. Saturday, I had very heavy cramps and red bleeding and cloths. Sunday was a bit lighter but Monday it went back to very heavy bleeding and cramps. Since Tuesday I only have brown discharge . I read that It may take up to 2 weeks to stop, and unless you need 3 pads every 1 hour there is no reason to be concerned. Hugs and prayers! Baby dust to us all!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. Every miscarriage is different. With my first it took 5 days from when I first spotted until it completed. With the second I had completed in under 48 hrs. Thinking of you. Xx

I'm so sorry for your loss honey. I miscarried in January and it was one of the worst times to go through. I was 13 weeks when mine happened but measured at 7. It is hard and I cried a lot. It didn't help that my brothers wife and little sister also discovered they were expecting at the same time. However I promise you this....it does get easier. I am 8 months in from the miscarriage and yes I still have down days but I have moved in and am trying again. Just be open with your oh, friends and family as the support they provide is everything. Mine was about like that. I started spotting at work when I was 10 weeks. My boss insisted I call my obgyn (which I did) and my doctor put me on bed rest for a whole weekend, but told me that I shouldn't worry because sometimes spotting happens early on in a pregnancy. But as the weekend went on, my bleeding just got heavier and I felt more cramps. I miscarried the night before my first doctor appointment, and that was the longest night I have ever had. I was in so much pain, I cried all night. The doctor told me to just take as much ibuprofen as I wanted until my cramps weren't so sharp. That really helped. After that, I had bleeding for a week an a half that was pretty much like a heavy period at the beginning, and then spotting at the end. I passed lots of tissue, which was the weirdest, yuckiest feeling ever. But I think that physiologically, I was way worse off than I ever was physically. I stayed almost morbidly depressed for over 5 months. But I finally got a dog, and she has helped immensely. I used to just sit and cry about it all day whenever I didn't have work, but now I actually have something to keep my mind occupied. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. It is terrible. But it does get better with time.
