Can miscarriage cause Endometriosis?

My periods have always been gpod - painless with medium flow lasting 4-5 days. Since my miscarriage 9 weeks ago I've had bad pain with my periods and spotting brown beforehand. I've had twinges of pain and tenderness throughout my cycles but worse during bleeding. Could it be that my miscarriage has caused endometriosis or is this normal after a miscarriage? I'm so worried x x

No. Endometriosis is a disease. It cannot be caused by a miscarriage.

I just read my old reply to you! I ended up getting surgery in July 2016 and had endo! 4 months later I got pregnant! I'm now 26 weeks with a heathy little girl 💞

My endo/periods were horrible after I miscarried. I had 5 periods between my miscarriage and second pregnancy and each was just as painful and heavy as the previous. Prior to miscarrying and after my lap and excision surgery, periods were manageable - meaning I didn't have to wear double protection and didn't miss work for cramps and dizziness

I think it can make endometriosis symptoms stronger! Same thing happened to me. I never had issues and after my MC everything in that year was worse. Pain when I ovulated then sex started hurting ... I ended up getting a lap and sure enough ends was found and I always had it. Sometimes you have it with no symptoms! Ask your Dr. about it! It took me two years after my MC to get pregnant again but 4 months post lap 💋

I MC in May and June my first AF after MC and then this passed one were bad with constipation and hurt to try and go to the bathroom. It's not every month but I'm worried about endo. My dr didn't see anything but a complex cycst on my left ovary which she said was due to ovulation. She said we can discuss the surgery but I should jump the gun. Period army too heavy and it's gone after two days ( any cramps/gas etc). What do you guys think? Could my body still be off track from mc?? I'm terrified.

Thank you for your reply. I've had 2 ultrasound scans and they said everything looks good.  I've also had swabs to check for infection (came back clear) and a blood test to check gor infection/inflammation (came back normal). They gave me antibiotics in case it was Pelvic Inflammatory Disease but the soreness and pain is still there. I thought I was coming on my period yesterday as I had spots of blood and brown mucus but nothing this morning.  Drs don't know what's wrong! It's making me so depressed :'( i don't know which way to turn xx

1st off i wanna say im sorry that this happened! But its Not likely to cause endometriosis! They don't know 100% what causes endometriosis but most scientific evidence points towards genetics! n some think since it's an Estrogen dominant problem that it could possibly be due to all the hormones in food n Birth control etc! But never heard anything about miscarriage causing endo! I have endo and have had it for 10years so I've researched it all! Now I have heard endo causing infertility and/or posiible miscarriage! But miscarriage isn't common from endo!

I'm not sure if it's normal for you to be in pain for months after miscarriage! but I've heard some women say their body had trouble cleaning all the excess tissue out, causing pain n excess bleeding for a couple weeks to a couple months n some have to have it removed by a Dr.! So I would recommend you calling your Dr. N asking about it!!! Cuz it could cause an infection if ur body isn't able to rid itself of the dead tissue properly! Which infections can lead to infertil so not worse the risk! Good luck to you n lots of Baby Dust to you! But I think if it's not been that long that other women experience pain also for a Lil while afterwards! I'm not 100% sure tho on the severity or length of time n I have heard bad reasons for it like what I explained above so I would recommend calling your OBGYN ASAP to be Safe!!!
