Baby shower?

Is it acceptable to have a baby shower, if you had one before? I'm pregnant with my second, and didn't know if it'd be appropriate or not? My first baby shower was over three years ago.

It's acceptable to have more than one baby shower my mom had one for each of her kids & she has 4 inculding me.

My last shower was ten years ago. Still not having one this time around because I, personally, feel it's  a little tacky.

If a friend was having a second or third shower, I'd go. But I would only take a small gift. Particularly if the kids were close together (five years or less).

Of course, the people you invite love you and want to celebrate. It's a party, but keep in mind that no one is obligated to bring g you a gift. Just have a good time.

I believe all babies should be celebrated. It doesn't have to be a shower necessarily but could be a sprinkle, library stock, diaper party, or even a sip & see after baby comes if you aren't comfortable with a second full shower

Personally, I love 2nd 3rd and beyond baby showers. I love watching a family grow and change together. I feel so honoured that they would include me in the experience too!

Def appropriate to have a shower for each baby however I think it's very inappropriate for someone to throw their own shower. It's a trend I see that's becoming more popular and I don't understand.....it's like inviting all your friends to come give you things for something YOU decided to make. I get that it's about celebrating life ect....but I'm just really uncomfortable with it and think it's super tacky to throw your own baby shower.
