I did it at 6 weeks. :) I feel like it's important to celebrate every life, even if it isn't a long one. :)

We announced at 4 weeks😁 I can't hold a secret

I always heard 13 weeks is the best time. I have personally seen quite a few very early pregnancy announcements on social media shortly followed by miscarriage announcements. I would personally wait so that if it didn't work out, I could heal emotionally before coming out and talking about it. It's so sad to see.

I've heard the best time is immediately after 1st trimester because the risk of miscarriage is a lot less after the 1st trimester but whenever is best for you.

I say first trimester 12 weeks though

I voted first trimester but I think you have to think about all the pros and cons and decide for yourself. I'll share my reasons why to share early. We had a late miscarriage. I was so scared to have a miscarriage early and was so nervous something would go wrong, I never allowed myself to get excited for the life within me. My friends all noticed that I didn't want to discuss it much and all said that I was definitely guarded. When we lost our son, I realized he had a life. He was vibrant on all previous ultrasounds, moving around so much we couldn't even get a picture. In another. We saw how he slept like me but was stubborn like my husband. He had a life and I didn't acknowledge it to anybody and I didn't allow myself to be excited out of fear. What I realized was I never celebrated him and it makes me so sad and angry with myself. My son deserved my excitement and I feel like I didn't give him what he deserved in his short time with us. From now on I will be acknowledging any pregnancy we are blessed with and happily sharing the life we have. We have an amazing family and support structure in our friends, I'm not afraid any longer to share with them.

I announced at 10 weeks. Little did I know my baby stopped growing the week before. I didn't find out however till two weeks after I announced it. 😢😭 When I get pregnant again, I will definitely be waiting till after 12 weeks to make sure everything is okay. My first two pregnancies I announced after 12 weeks.

Because we've had bad luck several times over, I would hold to not announce anything till the 3rd trimester. I'll just have to hope I can hide under my clothes for awhile ...
