Posting pictures of your child without permission?

My mom took a picture off my page of my 1yo and used it as part of a fan post on a Facebook sports page (page has over a million subscribers) without my permission. I'm not comfortable at all with the thought of
My daughters picture being on such a popular page and I'm sure my husband wouldn't like it either. Do you have any advice on how to bring it up to my mom without sounding like a bitch?
Also what are your safety rules for posting your children on social media?

I would tell  my mom in this exact way "I saw you posted a picture of (your daughters name) & it's cute but I'm not sure I want over a million people who I obviously don't know having access to her picture...there's a lot of weirdos out there.  Thank you for loving your granddaughter so much but do you think you could take it down" that's how I'd tell my mom maybe it'll work for yours? If she's not understanding report the photo.

Also I don't put full names of my kid. definitely don't discuss what school their in & my cover photo is of their backs turned. & I DO NOT accept friend request from anyone I don't know.

Have a nice tone when you speak to her and say you know she meant nothing by it but it makes you a bit uncomfortable having your daughters picture on that page because of the millions of people on it you don't know and if she wouldn't mind removing it from that post/page because anyone could save it and even some sick weirdos do write on them and re post it then it gets shared everywhere. Some of our parents and grandparents don't know exactly what fb can do, especially now with all the sharing posts. I'm sure she wont mind, she probably doesn't know fb can be used in that way. I hate it when people use my sons pictures without asking or checking with me first. Good luck :)

I just straight up said "don't post pictures of my child on social media sites, if you want your friends to see her then use email". I post pictures of her sometimes but not often, but I am her mother and I'm entitled to do so.

My mom and step dad live in Florida and my mother and I went to Ohio (where we are from, j currently live in wv) the week after mothers day. My family was meeting my daughter for the first time. My aunt and her girlfriend are very sociable people. They raise awareness for their out bulls being companion dogs and also work the NAMHI (a mental illness awareness organization) Both combined have over 3,000 friends. They had posted pictures everywhere including pages for their dogs and for pits in general, you can believe that I was livid. My mom also has a habit of sending pictures of my daughter to her friends and I'm not OK with that because j do not know them
