37 weeks, sharp-stabbing pain in vagina?

Does anyone know what is causing this pain? My baby is head down and really low, so I'm thinking he's just bumping into nerves. Whenever I get the pain, I find myself not able to talk and I can't really breathe.

I have this same pain and even feel pinching and my cervix is still closed would love to know what this pain is I'm currently 39 weeks and 5 days

It's Braxton hicks contraction. I'm 34 weeks and it been having them for a while. If the come rapidly it could be real contractions but if not its Braxton hicks

It's the baby's head moving down and engaging and it hits a nerve..that's when you get the shooting pains.
