So im getting married and thinking about changing my signature from full name to just initials is that dumb?

Having worked at a bank for many years I'll say that it's easier to forge initials compared to a signature. When you have a signature it is easy for the tellers and bookkeeping to tell when something is fraudulent. I lived in a fairly small town, under 10,000 people, and we caught forgeries at least once a month if not more.

I use my first initial and then full last name. You will be glad you shortened it if you ever buy a home and have to sign 3 billion docs!

Working in a bank, I think it's smart to sign your name with initials rather than full name. Customers whose checks were forged figured it out forgeey has happened because the forger signed the full name when the victim uses initials.

I sign my full name my husband signs first initial then last name. U can do whatever u want. My dad signs his initials only all the time. It was so easy to forge his name in high school

Its your signature. It should represent you. If could have 1000 swirls and a happy face for all I care. But all long as you can do that every single time more power to you. 
My signature is my full first name with the first letter of my middle name and my full last name. Its long and I love mine!
