Family against cloth diapering.

Katelyn💗 • 25 years old. Married for 6 years. I have 3 sweet children, Jenna-5 and Logan-3 and Lexi- 7 months old!❤💙💜

I am pregnant with our 3rd child. Our second I found out about cloth diapers and started cloth diapering when he was 8 months old... I really want to cloth diaper this baby. Hubby is on board as long as he doesn't have to wash the diapers... And I show him how to change them... But my mother and father in law have tried there best to change my mind. I told them that cloth diapers are cheaper in the long run and there response is if you want we will buy the baby diapers... I told them I really didn't want the chemicals that are in the diapers against the baby and that the baby uses so many and it would be that much waste... And still, they sat there and tried to convince me not to use them.

I don't really care what they think, because in the end it will be my choice. It is just aggravating... They informed me that they will be buying disposables to use at there house... But what they are forgetting is that it will be a very long time before they will be able to baby sit bc I breast feed... So baby will be with me wherever I go. I just don't know why they are so against it. It frustrates me so much and I know it shouldn't.

It doesn't help that whenever we go to visit or the occasional time they watch my son they will put a pull up on him. We have been trying to potty train him for a while now... And she wants nothing to do with it. At all... The other day we visited and he had an accident and she about lost it. I have no problem cleaning up whatever mess he makes and cleaning him up but she literally has a cow every time... She told my husband and I, last time that she bought him some pull ups and he had to wear them. Keep in mind, at home he hardly ever has a accident, he has even gone shopping and held it for 4 hours. But for some reason at her house he forgets to go... And that's fine but if you refil his sippy cup 3 times, ask if he needs to pee. Common sense.... Really... My son knows he can pee in pull ups so he doesn't hold it for the potty, that's why we don't use them.

Sorry for ranting, just really frustrated...
