When do you get off ur meds? Are u scared to do so?

So must of us are taking some type of meds. I have the progesterone vaginal inserts. I am suppose to get off them at 8 weeks. How about u ladies? I don't want to ! 🙈😩🙈🙈 scared to do so!

The RE nurse told me it was due to the suppression med not making a corpus luteum.  The progesterone and estrodial act like "food for the baby" since a corpus luteum didn't develop.  This article offers a good explanation-

If all goes well tomorrow, my dr is going to up my meds from 2 doses of crinone to daily progesterone injections. 
I never thought I would be hoping for more injections!

So i had another appointment today with my new OB. I decided to Not continue with my regular OB since they let my ectopic burst and I am not confident in them. I love my new OB she was great! Took her time and best I got another peak of the baby! So excited to see the nugget again. I spoke to her about my concerns about getting off the meds and she said that there was no harm to stay on them. She gave me a script for the next couple of weeks keeping me on till 12 weeks! Yaaaay!!!!

I saw my regular OB today for the first time, she reassured me that she's had plenty IVF patients and it's safe to go off the meds by the second trimester because your body won't need it anymore because it produces its own with the placenta. They don't check blood levels or anything- just trust.

I will be on mine until 10 weeks and my brain tumor medication until 20 weeks. I'm super nervous to get off all of them. I'm praying nothing will happen when I stop the meds!

I am too! I'm on progesterone oil shots once a day and estrogen morning and night. The dr has already backed me down from 3x a day with the estrogen, and I'll see tomorrow how I'm progressing. I was told that I'll be on both until 10 weeks. I'm very nervous that my body will not be ready. 😟

🙋🏻ME!!!! I actually wrote to you about this in another post as well. I'm really scared to get off my meds. I take progesterone gel every morning and estrogen pills every morning and night. I believe I stop at 8 weeks also. I kind of feel like that is too soon, but I know my doctor knows best. I know some of you ladies will be on your meds past 8 weeks. I would just like to be on mine a little longer too. It makes me feel better about the pregnancy. I didn't imagine I would be this worried. But I guess when it takes all this to get pregnant, you worry more than someone who gets pregnant with no trouble at all.

Im scared too. I'm on progesterone suppository, morning and night now, till 8 or 10 weeks. I just feel like we need all the help we can get right now!

Since most of us will be at OB by then. Who should we ask? OB or RE? And what if we get two  different opinions? Which would u take?
