Why are you doing IVF?

I hope this is ok to ask. I'm just curious why you are doing IVF and how long you've tried (and maybe what procedures you've tried) before deciding to do IVF. We have been trying for 2 years and have been diagnosed with unexplained fertility. We aren't sure yet if we are going to try IUI, or go to IVF. Our insurance doesn't cover any of it. Anyway...I'm just curious about everyone else's story!

Have PCOS, endo and blocked tubes. Tried for 6-7 years. Had a laporoscopy and two cycles of Clomid  before skipping IUI and going straight to IVF. Just gave birth to my baby girl in July after my first cycle.

After 1 year of trying hubby did a sperm analysis. It was normal. So we tried for another 9 months. Nothing. My labored was normal, my hsg was normal (tubes open, no problems) so we tried for another 9 months. Nothing. In the 3rd year of trying we did 4 medicated iui's. None worked. Decided IVF was the way to go. Saved from Aug 2014-May 2015 and did IVF this past June (paid cash with our savings since no IVF insurance coverage, but all my meds were covered). IVF #1 worked! 17w5d pregnant with 1 baby! Unfortunately none of our embryos made it to freezing so we'll have to do another full IVF cycle for baby #2. So 4 years of trying with unexplained infertility and our first IVF worked!

We have been trying for 9 mths. I have super low AMH and I haven't got time to waste so just started our first IVF cycle last week.

3 years + TTC and finally pregnant from IVF. Basically we have tubal factor infertility but we didn't know that for a long time until I had a laparoscopy.
Tried for 1 year before getting a referral.
Waiting list for fertility clinic was long but did bloodwork and HSG in the meantime. Every thing looked normal except high prolactin and high TSH. Started on meds for those.
HSG showed pretty normal too but was very painful and one tube was narrow.
6 rounds of femera failed
1 IUI failed
Did a laparoscopy to diagnose endometriosis and find out tubes (especially my right one) are severely damaged even though they are open. 
Two cancelled IUI because always ovulating on the wrong side... so I said F@&% it I'm not wasting anymore time and my doc said even IUI has only 5% chance so we moved to IVF 
Waited 3 months to get in for IVF.
Egg retreival June 27th 2018
Mild OHSS so cancelled fresh transfer
Frozen transfer Sept 28th 2018 and finally got our first positive test!

Trying for baby 2 for 19months. Miscarriage & failed first round of ivf due to no eggs at retrieval. Now in the waiting game to have another go but dont have time on my side. So hopefully in Oct we will have our chance. Fingers crossed & praying.🙏✨

My husband has bad sperm..  We tried for 2 years to get pregnant on our own..  Doctor said ivf is our best option, starting this month

I have a chromosomal translocation and low reserve. I am 29. My husband had an extremely low sperm count due to varicocele. He had surgery before Christmas but we are proceeding with IVF, ICSI and PGD.

Endo is getting in the way! I'm 26 and have tried for almost two years with no luck! Husband got checked out and all good with him, so IVF it is!

We have been trying for 2 years thinking it was an issue with me, as I have PCOS. We just found out that my husband only has 50k sperm count and that IVF is our only option. Beginning the long process next month. Good luck!!
