Double stroller for 4 year age gap?

Has anyone with 3-4 years between kids found they really needed a double stroller???

My 3.5 year old is petite, and with her short legs, gets tired walking really easily. I'm trying to avoid needing a double stroller. When this baby come in late January, she'll be less than a month away from turning 4.

A friend is going to give me for citi mini glider board to use with our single citi mini. And I hope between that, and wearing the baby and putting the 4 year old in the stroller sometimes we'll be good, but I see people selling used double citi minis and I get really tempted.... Any advice for this age difference??

We are doing something similar except we bought a new travel system with a built in riding board for our 3y daughter. She loves it.

I would just go with a riding board.  My daughter will be 3 yrs 3 months when our son is born in January, but we live in Chicago so it will be a few months later when we are out and about in a stroller.  I don't see her riding in the stroller enough at 3.5 to justify the expense.  Plus, I plan on wearing him until it gets really hot in the summer and just using the stroller for her if I need to.

If you have the glider board for your city mini you should be fine. We have a Joovy ultralight and my 5 year old still likes to sit or stand on the back of it while my 3 year old is in the front. But when baby comes my 5 year old will be out of luck unless I'm wearing the baby.

I'm not in the same exact situation, I have a 2 year old. We're opting for a double. I'll wear the baby for shorter trips to the grocery store etc. but for longer trips to the zoo, theme parks, the mall, downtown etc. I feel like a a double stroller will be a necessity for us.

I'm not in your situation, but if you plan to baby wear I would let your toddler ride in the stroller

We're considering a double with our four year old for day trips to places like the beach and the zoo. We also take morning walks every day that are about 4miles and he gets pretty tired around the 3mile mark so he jumps in the stroller
