Period before hcg levels gone??

Question

Tomorrow is 5 weeks since d&c. Today I think I finally started my period. YAY!!! 4 days ago I tested and still got a positive on a pregnancy test. I am going to wait until I'm done bleeding to test again but anyone else get their period with hcg still in their system? I know I've heard this isn't actually my period if it's still there but sure feels like it.

I got mine today, Yay!
On Monday my hcg was 40 and had been sitting at that level for 2 weeks.
Obviously it was an anovulatory cycle but I'm excited that things are now closer to normal iykwim

It happened to me! My levels were very low but not completely gone.  My doctor confirmed it because I had to go in for my d&c check up right after I started, which was horrible.  But it can totally happen!

Liz, has everything been normal for you?  My first menstrual cycle after my D&C was so rough.  Really really heavy bleeding and clots and then it was like someone turned off a faucet- it just completely stopped.  My next menstrual cycle was heavy but nothing like the first- I thought something was wrong because I'm usually very light.

Anyway, I hope things are getting back to normal!
