Incompetent cervix - cerclage
Hello ladies!
I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant with my miracle baby. I went into preterm labor with my first so as a precaution, they sent me to the high risk doctor to rule anything out.
Well unfortunately, they found that my cervix is only 1.5 cm, is thin and soft. So I have been put on immediate, strict bed rest and a cerclage has been scheduled for Monday.
I am absolutely terrified and not sure what to expect. I will likely be on some form of bed rest until they take the stitches out at 35-36 weeks. Meaning, I will have to leave my job. We're pretty shaken up. Looking for others with similar experiences??
