Is it possible to get genital herpies from oral (like if your partner has oral herpies?)
Just looking to know, it's a question I've had for a while.

I have HSV 1 (type 1) herpes down there due to exactly what the other commenter said, oral sex. It really is rare to get HSV1 genitally but hey I got it lmao. Better than genital herpes though and I only had one HORRIBLE outbreak and my doc said I may never have another one ever. (I had a cold sore and went down on my SO and contracted it that way). But yes, it is possible!

Yes it is possible. There are two types of herpies genital and oral, also known as type one and type two). Oral as also known as cold sores, they are the same thing. So when someone says they have a cold sore it's actually herpies. But yes it is very possible. However it wouldn't turn into genital herpies. You would have oral herpies in your genital area. Oral herpies down there happen less frequently. People usually one have one or two out breaks but still something to be cautious about!
