Peanut butter??? (Preg)

Saw on the news its not safe to eat it?? Im  from california... im preg and craving peanut butter should i avoid it or eat it?? Please help meee

I have peanut butter on my toast almost every morning for breakfast and my baby is growing healthy. I have heard of some peanut butter being recalled for salmonella but as long as the brand isn't recalled then you'll probably be fine!

Agree with the other people.  I ate it throughout my first pregnancy and my daughter loves it and has no allergies.   Just be careful about any contamination news.  I hadn't heard, but I believe it!

I'd call your doc. If it's on the news and they're talking about a contamination issue it will be one specific brand.

If you're talking about the "theory" that it will give your baby a peanut allergy then that is currently unsubstantiated and has no concrete evidence. I've ate peanut butter my whole pregnancy.
