crib or pack & play?!?!?!

Hi To all the moms and first time moms, I need your advice. Which one is convinient? Crib or pack and play? I like them both but which is better to have in the beginning? If you chose crib what kind of brand that is affordable, good quality, sturdy wood. (Not looking for d expensive ones like in Baby R us). And also quality wise what brand for the pack and play. I need help. Thanks evryone.
