Breastfeeding by pumping?

Hey ladies, we're expecting our first next summer and I want to breastfeed but I've heard they don't always take to it well.

Can't you just pump milk and give it via bottle? Like even before they are born, have a couple bottles ready? And you can freeze it too, I know that from nannying.

Pumping is VERY hard and around the clock work. You can't just feed on demand like normal breastfeeding. You have to pump every 2-3 hours constantly to keep your supply up. And it takes away a LOT of time you should be spending with your baby, you won't be able to leave the house long times unless you want to pump in the car, and it's a pain. Most babies breastfeed just fine.

I tried pumping with my first and I had a horrible experience. My nipples would get so sore and raw, so I stuck to breastfeeding until I switched over to similac.

My daughter didn't latch on right away after she was born but with practice and help from a lactation expert, it ended up as a nice experience.
