Period lengths

Ok, so my past 2 periods and the one I'm currently on have all been 2 months long. I think there is something seriously wrong with me here. I've never had this happen before and it just started this year. I'd always had irregular periods but nothing like this. Has anyone else experienced this? What was the problem if you went to the Dr. about it? I'm going to make an appointment at the OBGYN tomorrow (if they accept my insurance) and I'm really worried about it. Any input at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
