I've been slut shamed here on Glow before because I dare to have a non-heterosexual non-monogamous kinky relationship while having children.

Yes. After my rape it was the worst, it then happened up until I was 16 which surprisingly is when I started having sex yet I was slut shamed before ever having consensually partaken in it. 
To some it's just words, but to victims of abuse, rape, and being molested, it's the next obstacle preventing them from speaking out and getting help. It's part of what allows so many rapists to get away and continue. 
Because "she was asking for it", "she shouldn't dress like that". Devaluing someone because of their sexual history, or even because of what they're wearing, helps the bad guys get away with bad things.

My own husband did it to me. He asked me my "number" early in our relationship. I told it to him and he told me his. His is 3-4times more than mine and yet he would slut shame me for months!!! What a butthole.

I was bullied a lot in high school, because of the way I looked. Apparently, I looked like a bitch, or a slut that would steal your man lol. I would always get threats, random girls would spread rumors about me and I had people I didn't even know that wanted to fight me. Girls would write nasty things about me in the bathrooms, but funny thing about all of it is, I had only been with 2 guys sexually in high school. High school for me sucked, but I got through it and graduated with honors :) Slut shaming is terrible, but you just gotta push through it.

No but I can honestly say the fear of being slut shamed has held me back a few times.

I have had quite some relationships yet never based on sex. I am totally open about my history both towards my partner and my friends. Though one of my oldest friends (female) says it quite often that i was a total slut. I was just easy and comfortable with men and always had relatiobshipd blooming out of whatever happened. Even now that i am pregnant of my second child she likes to remind me of how hard i could get men and what a slut i was,... It bothers me.
