TMI! Painful bowel movements..

So for most my pregnancy I've had no issues with bowel movements. The last few days I have hard harder stools and today when I went it was painful with a little rectal bleeding. I made sure several times the blood was not vaginal. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm planning to call my OB just to let them know and get the okay for some meds that might help...not sure if they'd check me for hemorrhoids right now or not.
