Shopping?

This is my first baby and I don't know when to start buying things. Trust me if I were to be set free in a baby store i would go broke lol but I just wanna know if parents to be usually wait until after baby showers to shop? Or can I start shopping for my baby girl now? I'm 17 weeks and I'm just so ready to start buying things!

I say go ahead and buy some big things now. You don't want to count on others to spend 200 on a stroller or what not. Chances are you'll get tons of clothes or bibs at the baby shower.

I saw the crib I wanted on sale so I ordered it. I'm sure black friday will have some good stuff on sale too.

For all the little things I say wait till after baby shower. Then fill in any gaps aftwards.

I have already started shopping for my girl and I'm almost 16 weeks.

I'm 15 weeks and I started shipping last week. Found out the sex through blood work and I went out and bought a couple outfits and onesies. My due in March and when we do our registry all winter stuff will be out. I want to bet some clothes for cooler days now and leave all winter stuff (for next winter) for my baby shower. That way come spring when summer clothes come out I can go grab some.

I have the crib, dresser, two bouncers, swing, stroller and car seat combo, and bassinet. I know I'll get a ton of clothes at my baby shower and bibs, blankets, soaps, that sort of thing so I knew I should get my big stuff on my own. Then after the shower I'll see what little things I still need like diaper bag and boppy

I've received lots of things so far. All we need is a pack n play and I really want a glider but there quite pricey.

I've only purchased a bassinet because it was marked down to $40 from $120. I'm going to try and wait until after the baby shower but I'm sure I'll cave before then.

With my first we only bought little things before the baby shower like a few outfits, some cute hats; just enough to satisfy our desire to baby shop lol
Then we had the baby shower and got a ton of stuff off of our registry and lots of gifts cards. Then we had our fun shopping and finished getting what we needed and wanted.

Now this is my second, we aren't having a baby shower but we also haven't bought anything yet. We are waiting until we know the gender
