What's the longest it took for you to get a clear positive result?

My SIL ended up going to the doctor for a blood test because she hadn't had af but kept getting negatives - she was 8 weeks!  The baby was fine and is 2 now. Some people don't metabolise hcg in their urine the way the rest of us do apparently.

I got a positive at 14 dpo this month, but was 9 dpo with my son.  I think it varies from person to person, and then between pregnancies even!

I was 20dpo before I got mine. I had a miscarriage so I wonder if my hcg levels were quite low which made it take longer to show up positive?
