36 wks 3 days light bleeding

I'm 37 weeks in Saturday woke up this morning to light bleeding on my sheets and when I wiped went to the doctor they said I'm still closed and my water didn't break but that it's early signs of labor so they sent me back home and told me that within a couple days or so I would start labor .... Has anyone else experienced this ? And if so how long after did u go into labor ?
