Using the bag for ice water to stop your period is actually an old trick my gma told me about. I did it once the night before my wedding my af was spotting off. It was cold and not pleasant but worked no more spotting period stopped. Something about the cold water constricting the blood vessels. But she told me to never douche and never use its chemicals. It messes your ph balance up
