Jaxson or jaxon

I've always liked the name Jackson. A mother I knew named her son Jackson a few years back and I thought it was such a strong name. However, Jackson means son of jack. But Jaxon means - God has been gracious. I love that meaning and I do believe God has been gracious for giving me my son. My significant other wants to spell the name Jaxson but I wonder if the s is really needed. He thinks it looks better though. To be honest though, I'm contemplating the whole thing now because of the recently rise in popularity. But the only other name I like it Michael as its my significant others name. But that is probably even more common. Our sons name will be Louis ... Anyway- let me know what spelling you like.
