Warning: rant ahead.

This was my first dr visit after finding out I was pregnant. Check in was fine, clerk was very nice and friendly. Not a long wait, it is a small clinic. The nurse introduced herself and said follow me. She asked if I wanted to give a urine sample and I said yes. When I was done I came out and she said okay come to this room step on the scale. Me weight was 126. Asked my height, didn't bother measuring me. I replied I think about 5'2". She took me to another room where she asked about my family history and"social history" which included things like do you wear your seatbelt. Took my temp and blood pressure, which she did not give me my results. She asked what my concern was today and I said um my positive hpt. Then a different lady came in, I assumed dr as she was not wearing id tag. She did not give me results of my urine test. She asked if this was my first pregnancy I said yes. She said well I had residency with obgyn and I've seen lots of women scared that spotting means miscarriage and it definitely can but I don't want you to freak out. She kept rambling on about that til i said I havent spotted at all just cramping. She said "oh well that's a sign of miscarriage too". She looked in eyes with flashlight and listened to chest back and stomach with stethoscope. Then she sat back down asked if i had questions. I asked when I was getting blood test or ultrasound(what my appt was for) she did not answer and started rambling in a round a bout way saying she did not deliver babies that I needed to go to hospital for that. I'm looking at this lady like idk how far along I am yet why u talking about delivery?!? She asked when my lmp was I said aug 12 she said oh good so you're regular I said no they range from 46 to 28 day cycles she goes oh ok well sometimes they do an ultrasound to measure you then but usually you wont have your.first til 12 weeks then one more to see.gender. she did not give me an edd. She did not tell me when to come back for.testing, US, new appt, etc. She gave me a printoff of meds to avoid while pregnant and sent me home.

Is this normal of a first appt? I guess I'm 7 weeks today but not sure due to irregularity.
