Baby measuring smaller?

Question

Has anybody had their baby measure smaller than normal but still be born ok? They think it's because of genetics. I was 31w 6d yesterday and he weighed 3 pounds 5oz. So he is weighing where he is supposed to but he isn't measuring as long. Is this normal? Or ok?

Our boy was in the 20th percentile at 31 weeks; she did another ultrasound to check his size two weeks later and he had shot up to the 50th percentile. I think they go through growth spurts, especially where the length of their bones is concerned (I think they do a majority of skeletal growth in the third tri). Your baby will prob have a spurt soon!
