This is my first baby and I really want both my partner and mother with me during the labour and birth. My partner really isn't happy about this and thinks it should be a moment shared only both us both alone. Whilst i completley understand where he is coming from i want my mother there more for the support than to experience seeing her grandaughter born as i know she will know exactly what to say to keep me calm and focused. Any suggestions on how you came to a suitable arrangement?
