Date my best friend?

ive been best friends with this guy for a while and we are like super close, but we try not to make it look like we are dating because we arent, we hug when we see each other but only like once a day, all my friends are giving me sh*t about him and i dating and its getting annoying, it happens to him as well... he is so nice and we get along great, but one of my best friends who is a girl said that my guy best friend is acting like he really likes me and my brother said that my guy bestfriend always talks about me... i dont know whether to ask him about it or just leave it as best friends, we go camping and stuff together and its really fun! what do i do? help?
