How to prepare for C section?

The odds are very high I'll be having a c section. What can i do now to prepare? Or rather, what can I have my husband do, as I'm in the hospital on bed rest until delivery...

I'll be honest. You will be in a lot of pain, take the pain meds offered (don't be afraid to ask for some either) and walk as soon as they let you. You will definitely need big panties that go high over your incision, as well as big comfy pajama or sweat pants/shorts and night gowns. Also have a pillow handy for when you cough. You'll also need large pads for all of the bleeding afterwards. I suggest having someone around to help you get through the first week at home since you'll be sore and maybe loopy from the meds. Have everything near by for when you get home for feedings,  diaper changes, etc. I'm having my second csection in December. Good luck!

I couldn't wear any pants after the csection because the scar on the outside is small but they make a larger cut on the inside that makes most of the belly sore. I bought night gowns from target and a robe to go over them for the hospital. They give you mesh undies that do not hurt to use while you are there, but I really struggled finding some for home that didn't hurt. I brought the mesh ones home. I have heard great things about the cpanty but they are expensive :\
