2 positive markers for lupus??

Hi I came back positive with the ANA titer and then finally yesterday I got the other lab result of my DNA antibody for lupus also positive... My rheumatologist told me that he isn't diagnosing me yet because I am not showing symptoms .. But that it can happen .i miscarried in August and I really do want to start again this month and conceive again..at this point. He said when I conceive to call and make an appointment with him to monitor me.. Can anyone please shed some light for me😢I feel so lost and alone no one in my family has this ..and I feel this 2nd miscarriage was part of this.. I really need some input on anyone that has gone or going through this thank you 💔

How you feel. I have lost 8 babies because no one helped... being turned away from different specialists. I had two positive lupus tests only to be told it had gone away 🤷🏻‍♀️ I then had all the fertility tests done... all Normal! Was so confused and crushed. I was told by the ‘lady’ doctor to take an aspirin when I got a positive... grrr a bloody aspirin! Lost 5 more using this method. Anyway, I ended up in hospital in August for having a swollen brain, long story short, it turns out I have mitochondrial disease. This gives you positive lupus tests, chronic migraines, fatigue and also causes reoccurring miscarriages!! Good news is you can have babies but you need a little help... I wish someone had told me and helped sooner, would have prevented so much hurt 😔 x x x

I think you're smart to suspect your mc's have to do with your ANAs. My advice is to find a reproductive immunologist. They would treat you for your ANAs before you get pregnant, which is very important so you don't mc again. Please read "Is Your Body Baby Friendly" by Dr Alan Beer. I have lupus and have had 3 miscarriages. Currently taking Plaquinel, one baby aspirin per day, being gluten free, and moderately exercising everyday to be healthier and hopefully the next one sticks.

So I don't have lupus but I've had three miscarriages with no answers and am in the medical field. My best advice.....know what symptoms your doctor wants you to look for and keep a journal. As soon as you know you're pregnant then make that appointment (as well as one with your OB and hopefully a maternal fetal medicine doc (high risk doc)). Have you had fertility testing done? It's scary to think about being pregnant again but don't loose your hope!! 👍
