Telling my mum...

I'm getting the pill tomorrow & my mums coming with me. I've heard that the GP will most likely ask you if you're sexually active, & because my mum will be there I don't wanna say I am. how important is it that I tell him the truth? thanks!

I would defiantly tell her before hand! It's important you get an exam to make sure everything is healthy and they don't usually do that if your a virgin.

Yeah before they start asking you all the questions, they ask if you want your parent to be in the roomBut if you say no i think that would already let your mum know you are sexually active..I think it would be better if you told her rather than her being told through that x

When I was first starting to be sexually active, my mom had no idea. Then after she found out she wanted me on the pill and felt much better when I was on it. Yea she cried when she found out I was having sex, but I think she'd cry more if she found out I was pregnant from not wanting to ask about the pill. Get what I'm saying? Girl just tell her before that you want to go on it so it's not awkward while you're in the room.

When I went to get my pill the doctor asked me if I wanted to come in alone, my mum knowing I'm sexually active I let her come in but just ask prior to going in if you can go alone :)

I don't think so, I'm almost sure they only ask to make sure you aren't pregnant because you obviously can't take it while your pregnant so aslong as you defiantly aren't you should be fine :)

hm, I would do, but then my mum would probably guess anyway. if I just tell him that I'm not active, will it matter?
