Femara

So we've been TTC a little over a year now. My doctor suggested Femara. My husband and I are about to leave on vacation. Literally I would be using Femara on the five days I'm in San Diego. My sister who has struggled with infertility (but it also now pregnant with IVF twins) says I should wait to do Femara and to try another month on our own then get the dye test. She is convinced because her friend had blocked tubes because she had chlamydia for a long time undiagnosed that I also have blocked tubes because I had chlamydia once. But why wouldn't I want to be more aggressive this round? My sister is already pregnant and loving the attention.

I need an unbiased opinion?... my doctor doesn't seem concerned about my tubes knowing my history. He said he would check them in three cycles. My husband supports me with whatever, I just need other opinions.

Are the side effects to Femara bad?
