Home Dopplers

I've seen some YouTube moms (Missy Lanning, Heidi Kim) use home dopplers to listen to their babies' heartbeats after experiencing a fetal loss. I've lost two pregnancies and I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. I've read that they can be reassuring, or sometimes cause a panic because it can't always find the heartbeat. I'm thinking about buying one (they're about $50 on eBay), but I want some opinions from others first.
