I started having contrations 9-27-15 (also my wedding annivercy) while watching the eclips with my mom. I went to lay down and try to rest. My contrations got closer together and more painful so i started timing them. They were 3-5 min apart. At aboit 4:30am on 9-28-15 i got my mom and she sat with me making sure it was time to go. We got to the hosptial at 6:30. They checked me and i was already at a 5. After about 2 hours they checked again and was still at a 5 but was in so much more pain, so they had me walk to see if i could progress any. After an hour of walking they checked and i was at a 6 so they got me in a room. By noon when my dr came to break my water i was at a 7. They gave me my epaderal and it only worked for 45 min and wore off. At 2:30 my nurse came in and asked if i was ready to have a baby. I was in shock it was time already. Dr made it in around 2:40 and i was feeling the pressure. One big push and my baby boy was born at 7lbs 2oz 19 3/4 inches long. We named him Maliki Lincoln Maillet. About 2 hour later my nurse comes in and tells my that my pump for my epideral wasnt turned on. So i had 45 min of pain free labor. Other than that i was strong and had nothing but that 45 min med free! :) breast feeding my sweet boy and my 3 year old is in love! My sweet baby also has brought me and my husband back together!
