Same time?

Question

If I'm on the pill and I don't take it at the same time every day will that put me at risk? 
Last night my boyfriend and I had sex unprotected. It was really good and we didn't end up pulling out. But now I'm worried, I didn't get the chance to shower after either :/

I take the mini pill at 6 everyday, you can have it three hours before or after just in case you forget. Maybe take the morning after just so you don't worry :)

It depends on how you define "(not at) the same time". If you take it at 8am one day, then not until 8pm the next, you're only protected to an extent. In order to have the full 99% effectiveness of the pill, you really need to take it at the same time every day.

I have my alarm set for 9pm & sometimes hit snooze once b/c I don't want to turn it off, then forget to take it. I make sure I've taken it before my alarm is turned off. So, the biggest time difference I ever take it is 10 minutes tops. I'm sure an hour here & there would be fine, but being that I've gotten pregnant on the pill before (after being on it for 10+ years), I'm extra cautious now!
