First D&C tomorrow. Any advices?

I am a bit nervous about it. 
This is my 4th MC but first D&C and I am not sure what to expect... is it painful? Will I bleed a lot? Can you go back to work the next day?

I was nervous with the D&C with my first miscarriage. But my doctor assured my husband and I that it would be painless. I personally didn't need pain medication afterwards but the emotional toll was great of course. Keep your head up and be encouraged.

Thanks aĺl for your support. Everything went fine. I have no pain just some bleeding. I am still very sleepy... not sure I will make it to work tomorrow but health comes first.

I had a d&e which is very similar. I didn't feel anything, as of course you're asleep. I bled very little after the procedure, and I had no pain. The doctor prescribed pain meds, but I didn't fill them. I was on vaginal rest for 2 weeks (which was the hardest because I really just wanted to be as close as possible to my husband). Everything cleared up, and we were back to trying after our first cycle. Still praying for our little rainbow!

Mebx, I'm so sorry to read this. It's the worst 😔

I had a d&c on a Monday, and went back to work on the Friday. I was a mess emotionally after mine, but physically it was nothing compared with the IVF process.

I did not make it to work today. I am not bleeding at all... I have light cramping from time to time. But I feel really down and depressed... this is a very hard time.

My D&C was a little over a year ago. I had very little bleeding and pain after the procedure. I did not return to work immediately because I was an emotional wreck because it was my first miscarriage. Very sorry for your losses.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had some cramping when I first woke up from my ERPC,  but I was given some painkiller and it eased up pretty quickly.  After that first day I didn't have any cramping and only light spotting. I couldn't have worked for a couple of days because you aren't allowed to drive for 48 hours after a general anaesthetic, but other than that I would have been physically ok (i was emotionally a wreck though so had a couple of weeks off).

Sorry for your loss lady. Mine wasn't painful really. They gave me pain killers during and when I woke up advil was fine for the cramps. Its more so emotional pain knowing you'll wake up without baby. I probably could have worked the next day if I wanted but luckily it was the weekend. I didn't bleed very much, about a normal period for a week. Big hug xoxoxoxo it'll be okay.
